Amid the rapid transformation of higher education toward internationalization and technology integration, LHU continues to advance its strategic vision through a series of in-depth collaborative activities with Rajab Ghandour, PhD, an expert from Liverpool John Moores University (United Kingdom).

The working program between LHU and Dr. Ghandour took place from April 6 to April 11, 2026. This academic exchange forms part of the roadmap for implementing Transnational Education (TNE) within the “AI-EMI Connect” project, funded by the British Council.

Through direct meetings between the international expert, the University’s leadership, and academic units, LHU and its partner discussed the development of a training model that integrates English-Medium Instruction (EMI) with Artificial Intelligence (AI). This model is increasingly adopted by leading universities worldwide to enhance both academic quality and students’ global competencies. Beyond discussions, the two institutions also worked toward co-designing academic programs that align with the Vietnamese educational context while moving closer to international standards.

From the classroom to a global academic environment

During the visit, a series of academic activities helped create a vibrant international learning environment on campus.

The workshop “Assessment and Feedback in EMI” introduced new perspectives on designing assessment and feedback in English-medium teaching environments, enabling faculty members enhance their expertise and further innovate their teaching practices. Meanwhile, a special talk titled "Intercultural Communication" offered students the opportunity to engage with global perspectives, enabling them not only to practice their language skills but also to gain a deeper understanding of cultural contexts and the dynamics of the digital world.
