LHU participates in the Vietnam–China Forum on Education, Science, Technology, and Innovation Cooperation

As part of the Vietnamese State leader’s official visit to China, on April 14, 2026, in Beijing, General Secretary and President To Lam visited and delivered a key policy speech at the Vietnam–China Forum on Education, Science, Technology, and Innovation Cooperation, held at Tsinghua University.

General Secretary and President To Lam joins representatives from Vietnamese and Chinese universities at the Vietnam–China Forum on Education, Science, Technology and Innovation Cooperation held at Tsinghua University

Joining the Vietnamese delegation, LHU attended the forum at the official invitation of Tsinghua University. Representing the University were Associate Professor Lam Thanh Hien, PhD, Rector, and Dr. Nguyen Thi Hoang Oanh, Head of the Office of International Affairs.

During the forum, LHU was recognized by China’s Ministry of Education as one of the representative educational institutions that have established strategic cooperation agreements with leading Chinese universities, including Beijing Foreign Studies University and Capital Normal University. Highlighting the significance of these collaborative agreements between Chinese and Vietnamese universities at the event, a representative of China’s Ministry of Education emphasized: “These achievements will also be included among the outcomes of General Secretary and President To Lam’s visit to China”.

Through the signed MoUs, LHU and its partners will focus on promoting faculty and student exchanges, enabling LHU staff and students to access and engage in advanced educational environments in China; implementing joint research projects with strong practical applications to meet regional development needs; and developing academic transfer and joint training programs to enhance the quality of human resources in the new era.

Establishing strategic partnerships with leading Chinese universities within the framework of a high-level diplomatic visit marks an important milestone, reflecting LHU's vision and proactive efforts to provide its faculty and students with greater access to advanced education systems around the world.
