Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Vu Quynh honored as typical science and technology intellectual in 2024

The Selection Council of the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations (VUSTA) has recently announced the list of 135 outstanding intellectuals in the field of science and technology in 2024.

Among the 135 typical intellectuals nationwide honored in 2024, there is an individual in Dong Nai, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Vu Quynh - Vice Rector of Lac Hong University.

The honoring ceremony for outstanding intellectuals in 2024 will be held on August 28 in Hanoi.

This is the fifth time the VUSTA has organized the honoring ceremony for typical science and technology intellectuals since 2015. Up to now, after 4 editions of the event, a total of 452 typical intellectuals have been honored.

Those honored are intellectuals working in research institutes, universities, businesses, agencies of industries, fields, localities, and organizations in the VUSTA system for 10 years or more. They must have scientific reputation, many practical and effective contributions, and have influences on the industry, agency, and unit's development; be recognized by society, nominated or introduced by agencies and units in the VUSTA system.

Honoring outstanding scientific and technological intellectuals is considered a form of patriotic emulation, with great humanitarian significance, demonstrating the Party's and State's attention, appreciation and treatment for intellectuals, while encouraging and recognizing individuals who have made many outstanding contributions to the cause of national socio-economic development, defense and security protection in general and the VUSTA's development in particular.
