LHU Pride: “Cashew Essence” Wins Second Prize at SV.STARTUP 2026

Great news continues to fuel the spirit of innovation among students at LHU. After three days (April 17–19, 2026) of dedicated effort presenting and defending their project before the National Startup Jury, Vo Thanh Huyen (Faculty of Pharmacy), together with her startup team, secured the Second Prize nationwide with their project CASHEW ESSENCE – Plant-Based Food from Cashew Nuts.

As a key contributor bringing specialized expertise from the Faculty of Pharmacy, Vo Thanh Huyen collaborated effectively with teammates from Information Technology, English Language, and Finance & Accounting. This interdisciplinary synergy resulted in a well-rounded and competitive project that stood out at the 8th National Startup Day for Students in 2026.

The team’s journey to success had already been marked by earlier recognition. According to Official Notice No. 449/TB-BGDĐT dated March 23, 2026, CASHEW ESSENCE was honored as one of the outstanding projects in the fields of Agriculture, Environment, and Energy, as announced by the Ministry of Education and Training.

At this year’s National Startup Day finals—an event attracting over 10,000 students and evaluated by more than 50 businesses and leading experts—Vo Thanh Huyen’s confidence, professionalism, and strong academic foundation played a decisive role in convincing the judging panel.

The remarkable achievement of CASHEW ESSENCE once again affirms the strategic direction of Lac Hong University. At LHU, entrepreneurship is not a short-term movement but a sustained cultivation process—where diligent learning in classrooms and laboratories becomes a solid launchpad, enabling innovative student ideas with real-world applicability to reach the national stage.
