Students of the Economic Law Major Depart for the Thong Nhat District People’s Court

When arriving at the Thong Nhat District People’s Court to participate in the reality-learning session, the students met with the Judges, People’s Jurors, Procuracy representatives, and Lawyers to learn from experience and observe courtroom advocacy skills. At the beginning of the visit, the students observed an actual first-instance criminal trial.

At this location, legal issues were introduced throughout the trial process. The students not only learned additional knowledge about trial and litigation procedures—including starting the trial, courtroom advocacy procedures, deliberation, verdict announcement, and post-trial procedures—but also expanded their core knowledge of criminal procedure, and learned reasoning and judgment skills from the Court.

Students Before Entering the Courtroom to Attend the Trial Hearing

After participating in the reality-learning session, the Economic Law students reflected on and consolidated the knowledge they had gained throughout the trial process. The visit was held with the goal of providing the Economic Law students with the best possible experience of participating in a real trial, aiming to link theory learned in university with real-life practice to support their academic learning and future career orientation.

By attending the court visit and following an actual criminal case, the students gained an objective view of trial procedures at a Court. Through this real-life experience, the students had the opportunity to learn some essential practical skills from the Judges, Court clerks, and Lawyers, while also accumulating many useful insights for themselves and gaining a deeper understanding of the importance of law in life.

More importantly, it helps train students’ observation and legal analysis skills when directly monitoring a real trial.

The Faculty of Administration – International Economics would like to express its sincere gratitude to the Thong Nhat District People’s Court, Dong Nai Province, for creating the conditions for the students to visit and learn directly at the Court. This was truly a valuable experience for the students of the Economic Law major.
