On the morning of 08 July 2025, in Room B203 – Campus 1, Lac Hong University, the Faculty of Business Administration - International Economics (FAIE) successfully organized a scientific workshop themed:
“Lecturers and Scientific Research – Enhancing Skills, Developing Thinking, International Integration.”
This was one of the Faculty’s key professional activities in the 2024–2025 academic year, aiming to enhance research capacity among lecturers while inspiring and spreading academic spirit to PhD candidates and students currently conducting scientific research projects.

In his opening remarks, PhD Lam Thanh Hien – President of Lac Hong University – highly appreciated the Faculty’s efforts in organizing a practical and in-depth workshop. He emphasized:
“The Faculty of Business Administration - International Economics is one of the first faculties established at the University. Throughout its development journey, scientific research has always been considered a crucial foundation. Not only lecturers conduct research, but students, postgraduate learners, PhD candidates, masters, doctors, and associate professors must also engage in research – because it is the pathway to improving training quality and achieving integration.”

Representing the organizing unit, PhD Nguyen Van Tan – Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration - International Economics – expressed his deep gratitude to the Board of Rectors for their continued support and favorable conditions enabling the Faculty to organize meaningful professional programs. He shared:
“This workshop not only allows lecturers to exchange academic knowledge but also contributes to orienting and inspiring students and PhD candidates – those who are gradually building a professional, effective, and internationally integrated research pathway.”

The workshop recorded many valuable academic presentations from prestigious speakers inside and outside the University:
Professor PhD Vo Xuan Vinh – Director of the Institute of Business Research, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City, with the presentation “New Research Directions in the Field of Economics and Management,” summarized international research experiences and opened up new orientations for lecturers and PhD candidates.
PhD candidate Le Thanh Ha – Tay Nguyen University, presented two important topics:
“Methods for Literature Review Evaluation and Research Model Development” – helping learners understand the process of selecting variables and establishing logical models.
“Data Processing Techniques for SEM Models” – providing tools to process relationships among latent variables and improve research accuracy.
PhD Duong Thi Phuong Hanh – Lecturer in Marketing, with the topic “Data Processing Techniques for Multiple Linear Regression Models Combined with EFA,” shared methods for data cleaning and identifying appropriate parameters using SPSS software, thereby enhancing the reliability of research results.
Associate Professor PhD Nguyen Thanh Lam – Vice President of the University, shared the topic “Experience in Proposing Managerial Implications from Research Results,” emphasizing the transformation of conclusions into practical recommendations to support effective managerial decision-making.
PhD Nguyen Van Tan – Dean of FAIE, with the presentation “Techniques for Processing Survey Questionnaires,” provided comprehensive guidance from questionnaire design, coding, data cleaning to analysis and interpretation, transforming raw data into valuable information for research and decision-making.

During the discussion session at the end of the program, many practical questions were raised by students and lecturers, clearly demonstrating the spirit of learning and the desire to approach in-depth research among participants. Notably, a question from student Nguyen Thi Kieu Anh – Class 22NT111 – focused on: “How can we contact experts and enterprises to conduct surveys for research projects?”

In response, PhD Nguyen Van Tan shared:
“The first thing you need is a well-prepared and clear survey questionnaire that demonstrates academic depth. Next, identify specific survey subjects – whether experts or enterprises in which field. The Faculty currently has a team of lecturers ranging from Associate Professors and PhDs to MBs and PhD candidates, along with a network of partner enterprises ready to provide support. You can proactively contact lecturers in charge of your program or visit the Faculty Office to receive connection and specific guidance.”
The response opened up a practical direction, helping students understand that scientific research is a journey that can begin with small steps but requires careful preparation and timely guidance from lecturers.
The workshop concluded successfully, not only providing in-depth research knowledge and techniques but also conveying the message: “Scientific research is not far-fetched – if we know how to start from the fundamentals, with a serious learning spirit and proper guidance.”
The Faculty of Business Administration - International Economics will continue to implement annual academic and research activities, contributing to building a modern, open, and internationally integrated educational environment at Lac Hong University.
