[FAIE: Marketing] Marketing Student Receives a 3 Million VND Paid Internship from the Very First Days

My name is Tran Thi Van Anh, a student of class 22MK111 and one of the first cohorts of the Marketing program at Lac Hong University. For me, the past three years at university have been a journey of effort, experience, and growth, marked by memorable milestones from classroom lessons as well as practical activities.

From my first year, I determined that I needed to take initiative in my studies—listening attentively and absorbing knowledge from lecturers, while not missing any opportunity to develop skills beyond textbooks. I was particularly impressed by the enterprise visits, extracurricular activities, and career orientation seminars organized by the Faculty. Through these experiences, I realized that Marketing is not only about theory but also about flexibility, creativity, and the ability to connect with people in real-world environments.

During my final internship, I was extremely fortunate to receive support from the Faculty in being introduced to an internship opportunity at the Admissions and Public Relations Center of the University, instead of having to search for one on my own. This not only saved me time and effort but also ensured that I secured a suitable internship position from the very beginning. More importantly, I was truly surprised and happy to receive a salary of 3,000,000 VND from the very first days of my internship. This was a great encouragement, reflecting recognition of students’ value and giving me additional motivation to contribute wholeheartedly.

At the University’s Admissions Center, I participated in admissions counseling, supporting and caring for pupils and students, and assisting in conveying information to parents. My knowledge of communication, consumer behavior, and communication skills truly helped me become more confident in handling tasks.

“Each day of my internship is an opportunity to refine my skills, understand myself better, and gain deeper insight into the career I am pursuing. Things are not always smooth, but it is through small challenges that I have learned to adjust, stay calm, and become more proactive. I am grateful to have such a learning environment where theory and practice go hand in hand.”

Being able to work in a professional environment, receive dedicated guidance, and directly apply Marketing knowledge in practice is something I consider myself very fortunate to experience. I believe that the remaining internship period will continue to bring valuable experiences, helping me grow further and prepare confidently for my professional journey after graduation.
