Discovering Passion and Opportunity in Crocodile Leather

As a long-time crocodile farmer, she recognized that crocodiles raised in Dong Nai have the advantage of producing high-quality leather, free from alum contamination and skin diseases. Utilizing crocodile leather for product manufacturing would therefore result in beautiful products delivered to consumers. However, although many farmers in Dong Nai raise crocodiles, they have traditionally sold raw materials to China. From this reality, Ms. Nhung developed her entrepreneurial idea of producing finished goods from crocodile leather, not only creating employment for local people in Dong Nai but also leveraging local strengths and establishing a stable market outlet for the province.

    Entrepreneurship with Crocodile Leather Products

With many years of experience in crocodile farming, when the pandemic broke out, she shifted from farming to manufacturing products in order to adapt to the new social context. Specifically, she utilized available resources to produce crocodile leather goods. This transition not only contributes to environmental protection but also creates jobs and generates economic benefits for the local community.

    Innovation in Production and Business

Ms. Nhung did not stop at producing handbags, wallets, and leather briefcases from crocodile leather; she also introduced innovative ideas in design and product utilization, combining manufacturing with tourism and site visits. She has promoted the development of premium and unique products, gradually affirming her brand position in the market.

    Dedication and Success in Entrepreneurship

Ms. My Nhung surpassed hundreds of competitors to win First Prize at the Women’s Entrepreneurship Ideas and Projects Competition. This success is not only her personal pride but also an encouragement and inspiration for many women pursuing entrepreneurial passion and developing products from sustainable resources.
