Understanding the importance of self-development orientation, from August 26 to 28, 2024, LHU organized a series of talk shows with the theme "Future orientation - Gen Z in the new era" aiming to help new students of the 2024 intake experience and learn about the university environment as well as future career orientation.
A bustling atmosphere at the talk show
The talk shows attracted the participation of 1,200 freshmen. Particularly, presiding over the talk shows was leading experienced speakers and experts, bringing valuable lessons from practical experience.
On August 26 and 27, the freshmen met and exchanged with Dr. Nguyen Ha Bang, a leading expert in personal development and training. With more than 25 years of experience in teaching, sales, leadership, and stage presentation plus with his enthusiasm and rich knowledge, Mr. Bang conveyed secrets to help first-year students positively orient themselves, while building effective self-discipline.

On August 28, the students had the opportunity to meet and share with a teacher who always generates positive motivation with the familiar name "inspirer" - Dr. Huynh Anh Binh - Director of Ho Chi Minh City Career Orientation Center. He is also an expert in psychological counseling and soft skills training with more than 15 years of experience. By extensive professional knowledge and a friendly communication style, Mr. Binh provided the participants with profound and practical perspectives on student life, helping them to be more confident in their academic journey.
The talk show program is part of a series of activities to welcome new students and also the "Orientation Week". The Orientation Week is a compulsory activity aimed at helping freshmen grasp the University's development situation and tasks for the new academic year; equip necessary knowledge and skills to be confident; experience the university environment; simultaneously grasping essential issues concerning laws, regulations, rules on training, political education and student affairs, regimes, policies, rewards, discipline... , thereby clearly understanding the rights, obligations, responsibilities of citizens - students, meeting the education and training requirements and goals for students.
